[Korean Native Plants at the Korea National Arboretum] East Asian groundsel
East Asian groundsel is a herbaceous plant
commonly found in
mountains and pastures.
China, Taiwan and Japan are its main habitats.  
In April and May, yellow flowers bloom with three to nine capitula
in a corymb.
It’s twenty to sixty-five centimeters high,
growing upright.
It’s also called ‘Guseolcho’ in Korean .Its fresh sprouts are consumed
as herbs and the flowers are used as medicine.
Its Korean name ‘Sombangmangi’ refers to a spider’s web-like
white hair.
