[Korean Native Plants at the Korea National] Kerria
Kerria is a deciduous and broad-leaf shrub
that are found across Korea.
Its yellow flowers are borne in April and May
and they are hung at the end of each branch.
It’s a monoclinous flower at the end of a stem
with a diameter of three to four centimeters.
The flower blooms at the end of a side branch
and its peduncle is two centimeters long.
One of the different names of Kerria is Hwangmaehwa
as it resembles a yellow ume flower
and also known as
Geummaehwa, a golden ume flower.
