[Korean Native Plants at the Korea National Arboretum] Dwarf fan-shape columbine
Dwarf fan-shape columbine is a perennial species.
Its habitats are
the North of Nangrim Mountain
as well as Japan and Northeast China.
It grows ten to thirty centimeters .
Some of them come into bloom
as early as late April
with sky blue colors.
Many leaves grow from roots and those have long leaf stalks.
Smaller leaves are upside down triangular shape
with two and three thin petals.
Its Korean name is derived from its shape of hawks’ curved claws.
Its large and beautiful flowers are excellent for
a flower garden
and flower differentiation.
